Review of Space Dandy

If Space Dandy were anything, you could call it this. This is shinichiro watanabes heart of adventure, After a long hiatus from making anime, he returns to Space Dandy. And you can instantly tell he's missed nothing. From the soundtrack and episodic bounce to bounce of different ideas, to references and ideologies, he has a goal of showing us the fun of living life day to day. Going to Boobies, dancing with a golden version of Jon trovolta, helping a kid find her family, each episode is like cowboy bebop, it tells the story of a man, who lives in the moment, rather than the past. Imean the dub is better in my opinion, since it was the intended audience after all, and it takes inspiration off other things, as cowboy bebop did. Johnny bravo for one. Honestly, if you don't like this anime due to being unable to enjoy animated women at a hooters bar, thats fine.

But what i can say is, watch episode 5, its one of the best standalone episodes in animation in to this day. And not just that, each episode is done by different animators, you can tell the style is different, but it keeps true to that "Dandy Vibe" and some of these animators got their break out star here, and got to go onto other fantastic works.

If anything as my first review, i have to say im a fan of shinichiro watanabe more than anyone, hes an animator, not a manga artist, and he shows it by letting his dreams and idea show uniquely in his works.
