Review of Tsukigakirei
There's something significant about the subtlety of love often unheard of when watching romance anime - the small scenarios, the small talks, the small portion of the stories that are experienced by you and a special person. These are the things I found special in this anime. While it might be true for some people to find the story pale, bland - it is what it it really is. In my opinion, there's nothing greater than a story told from what is closest to our emotions. The story hits hard for us because the story reflects the love our youth often desire. It is lovestory formed from no cliches, and stereotypes. A story of a highschool romance seen from a kept perspective. A perspective I personally share. The embarrassment romance brings in our daily lives; the small moments we rarely share yet cherish with a special someone and a story of which moves so subtle yet so true.
I think our perspectives can differ with how we perceive romance. Is it a sudden love story filled with ups and romantic moments? a slow love story of great desires seeking a common ground to place their love into? There's definitely a lot of ways for romance stories to go through. But I do think a love story like this is what makes the very small things so special - small acts that leads to greater extents - small scenarios leading to a fulfilled story.
Definitely a fav!
