Review of Haibane Renmei

This anime is a good example of something that has it all but fails to follow through. If there was one more season with a lot more explanation I would have given this a 9 or 10. The world is intriguing and mysterious but so peaceful. The characters grow through the series and relationships show complexity and depth, or at least start to head that way. But in the end I feel like there was a lot of potential that wasn't realized and all the questions I had that kept me watching were never actually answered. There are so manyfantastic reviews and this came highly recommended, maybe I expected more.
