Review of Whisper of the Heart

I loved this movie a lot. It captured perfectly the essence of being young and facing the impending decisions that decided your future. It also captured what it felt like to be in love for the first time, and it did it well not forcing anything. It entailed finding your passions and doing whatever you have to do to make your dreams come true. It spoke to me personally very much, as I'm a freshman college student who has just discovered his passion for writing. So this film touched me and helped me understand myself better. The animation was classic Ghibli, very well made. Thestory, though it felt slow at first, found a comfortable pace fast. The sound was great, and the song "Country Road" is definitely something i would listen to again as it brought back some good memories for me.

Recommend to anyone with a passion or a love for writing, as it will surely inspire you and make you want to chase your dreams too. Amazing film from powerhouse Studio Ghibli.
