Neru: Way of the Martial Artist · review
A story that had a lot of potential to be great but was unfortunately axed by Shonen Jump before it had a chance to come into its own. The story was a rather standard set up with some interesting twists, it was interesting how most combat seemed to be based on more grounded martial arts compared to other Shonen power systems. The artwork was initially what put me onto this series and only seemed to be progressing as each chapter released. Each lead character's personality was properly conveyed through how they interacted with each other which usually was the most engaging parts of the story.Overall I absolutely adored what this series was seemingly trying to set up and could have genuinely seen it becoming a big name had it had more time to develop but unfortunately the people at Jump were unwilling to take a risk.
