A slice-of-life story that revolves around the relationship of two high school students who are brought together by an unexpected event. The novel follows the story of an aloof senpai and his overenthusiastic kouhai-chan who meet on the train station and make a promise to answer one question a day without telling any lie. Despite the interesting premise, the novel fails to deliver a captivating story and falls short of expectations. The character development is lacking, and the characters feel one-dimensional. The protagonist, the senpai, is portrayed as a disinterested and apathetic character who is not willing to give up his peaceful commuting time. His personalityis not well-defined, and his interactions with the other characters lack depth. The kouhai-chan, on the other hand, is a cheerful and overenthusiastic character who is always eager to talk and interact with the senpai. While her personality is more defined than the senpai, her actions and dialogue often feel contrived and artificial.
The story is slow-paced, and the plot is not engaging. While the promise to answer one question a day could have been a catalyst for the development of the characters and the story, it falls flat and feels like an afterthought. The dialogue between the characters is often repetitive and mundane, and the interactions lack tension and conflict. The novel feels like a series of disconnected scenes that do not lead to a satisfying conclusion.
The writing style is straightforward and easy to read, but it lacks the depth and nuance that could make the story more engaging. The descriptions of the characters and the setting are minimal, and the novel relies heavily on dialogue to convey the story. The lack of descriptive language makes it difficult to immerse oneself in the story and feel connected to the characters.
Okay this is a mediocre light novel that fails to deliver a captivating story it seem like it was make me more boring to read. The lack of character development, slow-paced plot, and repetitive dialogue make it difficult to stay engaged with the story. While the premise is interesting, the execution is lacking, and the novel falls short of its potential.
