Looking objectively, it's a pretty decent story. While the plot beats are predictable, they keep the details unique enough to draw attention. The art is pretty, the smut is good. Characters DO communicate, and there is no toxic bullshit from the seme. If this is your first glimpse of BL, you'll enjoy it a LOT. At the same time I don't find myself wanting to bite the bait they offered. And I think that's because I've read BL a bit too much. I just don't feel the chemistry between the two main characters. The writing fails to add enough meat while going through the usual beats, and togetherwith the predictability they just add to me breezing through the story, knowing full well what's going to happen. Of course the uke will fall for the seme's affection. Of course the seme first feels curious but then grows attached, and then he feels insecure.

There are lots of worse BLs out there. There are also lots of better BLs.
