HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!! This light novel could have been cut down by 75% at least and nothing would change! It's just the same thing over and over again, I'm not talking about the plot, I'm talking about the dialogue!!! The author constantly keeps saying the exact same sentence over and over even though we just read it! The characters suck for the most part and I never felt attached to any one then despite HALF THE BOOK being setup for Thier relationships and dynamics. There's barely any use of the original characters despite you'd think they'd serve a much larger and more active role in preventinganother calamity. The book constantly puts on "air quotes" around stupid things like "phenomenon" or "non-exister" as if we already didn't know what the terms mean. It's just a horrible read.

The actual action (horror incidents) range from pathetic (a literal scared crow flying in a classroom) to actually decent (a kid crushed by debris then brutally finished off by a metal pipe though the head) but most of them are extremely repetitive or happen off-page. All in all, there's maybe 10 pages in the entire book dedicated to the incidents, the other 500 are reacting to them or explaining the horribly thin plot that relies on plot stalling and using the memory schtick to make it seem deeper than it is. Ultimately the twist is nice in a vacuum but I genuinely did not give a flying cluck about it or anything in this LN because nobody is developed, plotlines are still unresolved by the end, and once again the curse remains undefeated, actually taking more lives than ever now.

This is the most boring book I have ever read, I literally, NO LITERALLY fell asleep reading it.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I never thought I'd make another review (more of a rant I guess) ever again, but this book was so bad I HAD to warn others to never touch it ever!!!
