The Manga adaptation is pretty good it didn't feel like it was any worse than the anime I would recommend both what I cant recommend is buying the physical copies since it doesn't reach the ending and last i looked buying the 3 volumes cost over $200 USD now as for the story i think its great its a hard turn in the fan service direction but I think it has a decent twist and i don't think that extreme fan service takes away from the story its even used as a plot point at points. the comedy in it feels great the world manages tobe a dystopian dictatorship of a future and still it fits in and makes the story feel fresh and not to crazy dark even when it decides to hit some serious subject matter here and there

all in all I'd recommend giving it a shot i think it was worth reading what's out but I'd recommend starting with the anime but i'd probably change my mind if the manga is ever finished
