The main character is essentially a self-insert of the author. She travels to Thailand for sex reassignment surgery. That's the plot. Konishi-sensei is very transparent; recounting the pain and depression post-operation and the feeling of excitement for doing something that makes her feel like her true, real self. It's a very heartwarming story and informative for those who are curious about sex reassignment surgery in East Asian culture. Overall, a simple story that you could read in an hour orso. Very enjoyable.
