Considering this light novel has no reviews and it seems that basically no one has even heard of this, I feel like it needs a review. Kuro no Maou is an Isekai light novel (I know how people think of Isekai but keep reading) that while having the basic components of Isekai, delves deep into a great dark fantasy story. Unlike many other Isekai stories Kuro no Maou goes through a lot of dark subjects both mentally and physically. Both the world and the characters are built with a lot of care and especially the main character (Kurono Maou) has many characteristics that are usually notseen in a main character, which makes him a greatly interesting and unexpected character. Even all the other characters seem quite lifelike, with even the on off side characters having their own personalities.

The story of Kuro no Maou is a story filled with action, grief, hard work and bad situations, and that's what makes the story varied and interesting to read.

While the light novel is still ongoing and I'm not even up to date with my reading, it can be said that I haven't been as excited for any (light) novel for a while as much as this one.
