This reminds me a lot of My Lesbian Experience with loneliness. With it being a true story about a young women's life going through struggles many can relate to. While I can't relate to this book on a personal level it gave me another perspective on life. While the artwork is cute the actual story is very serious and talked about sensitive subjects. It doesn't just talk about how her dad has alcoholism, it also talked about how people can be with someone who abuses them and thinking it's love because they think this abuse is normal and they never had real love before. Ithurts me to know that this happens to people and they live there life like this. I feel like if your parents are an alcoholic or something on the lines like that this may be of comfort knowing you are not alone, and life will get better even if it is a long hard process.
