This is such a sweet and interesting story with good character development. Moreover, the plot comes together really well at the end. I highly recommend it - it's a mix of historical fantasy and romance. It follows our main girl, Bam Binee, who has a simple goal of becoming a civil servant by participating in the Heavenly Empress Selection - but along the way she grows and changes. Moreover, she meets her childhood friend and a conflict arises. Along the way, I not only fell in love with Binee and how she is true to herself in challenging circumstances, but also her close friends and familymembers. The way you learn about this intriguing world that is a mixture of Korean history, modern life with fantastic creatures becomes just as interesting as Binee's journey.

Through this journey, Binee's world changes and goes from a small town to the Celestial palace; her background, upbringing and talent are all parts of her story. A story of believing and finding yourself.
