Found this on TikTok and decided to give it a go since it looked like a chill, wholesome read. Hello, Mr. Veterinarian follows Lee Jun, a vet on the verge of opening his own clinic. Right before he does, he receives a strange but meaningful gift from his childhood dog Pebble's in a dream, the ability to speak to animals. This lets him communicate with animals in real time, allowing him to understand whether they’re feeling fear, pain, or showing signs of mistreatment. With this ability, Lee Jun is able to create a clinic that quickly earns a reputation as a safe and trusted place whereanimals are truly understood and cared for.

Along the way, he forms close bonds with three animals: Silver a cat, shadow another cat and shaggy a dog. He eventually adopts them, and they become more than just companions. They help other animals feel at ease in the clinic, adding to the calm and welcoming environment he’s built.

The concept is genuinely nice, and the early chapters are easy to get into. However, the story starts to feel repetitive after a while. A lot of chapters follow the same pattern: an injured or frightened animal comes in, struggles to trust people, discovers that Lee Jun can understand them, and then everything gets resolved with a happy ending. While that formula works at first, it doesn’t evolve much, which made it lose its impact for me after about 60–70 chapters.

If you’re into wholesome, low-stakes stories with consistent feel-good moments, this will probably be your kind of read. For me, though I wouldn't give it more than a 6/10
