Peerless Dismantler · review
6.1/10 Minor spoilers. Read the synopsis. What are your expectations? Well, if you expected a cliche and generic story, you just about got it with this manga. There are so many flaws within this manga that it’s a bit funny. Mainly, though, the mc really suffers because the author decided to incorporate zero logic or thought in his creation. Spoiler but not really a spoiler because it’s an obvious cliche plot design: The mc, after being abandoned, decides to adventure into a dungeon with ZERO combat abilities for whatever reason? What about living to save ur childhood friend? Your little sister? Nope, let me just get gangedup by goblins and by the miraculous power of a dumb author he unlocks a cheat skill.
Except… the cheat skill kinda sucks? It literally has no consistency in its design. The mc easily brushes past his current, hard predicament, but in a lower-tier dungeon he struggles or his power doesn’t work in virtually the exact same scenario, if not better.
I know what the author is trying to go for: “oh no, the mc is so desperate, how emotional I am now!” or “Oh wow, the mc is so well-balanced, and he cant be an edgy solo try hard but instead he needs to rely on others!” Yeah, that would be considered good development… well, if only the author could write a story.
Putting all the flaws aside, it’s your average, generic dungeon simulator with a nerfed cheat skill. It’s still readable, but there’s no merit this manga has over thousands of its kind, especially with its flimsy writing.
