Review of Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale

I watched this when it first came out in cinemas subbed and man, i was hoping this movie would change my perception of SAO after the tragedy that was season 2 and it only made it worse. Kirito stays pretty much the same bland character he is throughout the film. The fight scenes and sound design is somewhat decent. Everything went downhill towards the end as Kirito magically unlocks Excalibur through the code and one shots the big final boss of SAO. It throws away ltierally everything S1 built as surely the big final boss of the game would be incredibly challenging but nope, justa typical Kirito one shot.
