Review of Convenience Store Boy Friends

I've never write a review for an anime, but I feel I need to at least do something with the time I invested watching this one. Being honest, I watched it because of a clip I found on YouTube of a funny moment and I thought "oh it seems good"... But it wasn't. Let me start. Since the beginning I felt the story was a bit off. I felt the expressions of the characters were not complete, they didn't match with what was happening or what they were saying. I know some animes like to keep the viewer thinking and making you infer what the charactersis thinking rather than explaining it to you. But half of the time with this story I was like totally lost. Or it could be just my ADHD making me lose focus but I just got lost SO many times because I didn't understood what was happening.

Part of the problem for me also, was that on the opening they show you like six couples and we end up stuck with just the 2 that are the more predictable ones. I really wanted to see how the story of the other couples was going to be developed, but it never happened.

It was so inconclusive in so many aspects. The only episode I got really excited was when they explain the title of the series, and I got there just because I didn't wanted to have another anime dropped on my list, it wasn't like they had build up enough excitement for me to be looking for that moment.
Even the most important thing of the story was ruined by the most cliche thing in romance/drama anime!!

They had such good things to work with, but I feel they didn't developed the couples and characters properly. It could have been a great series.

To finish my review, I have to say I was just so disappointed with the ending, that I thought there was an episode 13.
