This anime is an adaptation of the novel "Stellar Transformation" by I Eat Tomatoes. And contrary to Swallowed star which doesn't follow the story, this one actually does. This novel is one of the traditional xianxia story, where the main objective of the MC in most of the novel will be to attain a higher cultivation and attain immortality. I'm mentionning it here because of another review but no, the story still has a purpose after the 1st season. That just shows how some people don't understand the point of the story, it has never been a story of Qin Yu and his father, but aboutQin Yu.

Now for this season in particular. The plot mainly takes place in the Qin Empire and will follow the childhood of Qin Yu until he becomes a young man. It is mainly focused on him and his family and serves as an introduction to the story. The story itself is great, quite emotionnal. The fighting isn't the best i have seen but still great overall.

I would give this story a good 9/10
