Review of The Ancient Magus' Bride

I absolutely adore this show. I'd have to thank a lot of that enjoyment to my expectations, as it seems a lot of people were either highly satisfied, or highly disappointed. I was one of those highly satisfied, and I guess I'll ramble my reasons why: Story 8/10: To be frank, the story was a bit clunky. Sometimes it was a bit strange, but when I didn't over think it and enjoyed the show for what it was, it was so nice to see the worldbuilding, meeting new characters, learning about the world, and taking in the gorgeous visuals. Story: 8/10 Art: 10/10 the animation was absolutelygorgeous. Like incredibly stellar, and so aesthetically pleasing. The character designs were super interesting, and the color palette just had me in awe.

Sound: 10/10 it was so gorgeous. It fit perfectly with the fantastical elements, as well as just beautiful melodies. I personally loved it so much, and it brings me so much joy to listen to it on its own.

Character: 9/10, I thought they were all very interesting with nice, distinct personalities. Chise is one of the rare examples of a female protagonist, while quiet and calm in nature, has a strong sense of determination, and really carries the story quite well. Elias was also very interesting, although I would've liked to learn more about where he came from, or if his "lack of empathy" is really a lack of understanding. I really enjoyed everyone else there, but I don't know why I can't give it a 10/10. Gut feeling I suppose

Enjoyment: 10/10 I lived for the romance, the comedy, the everything. The world was beautiful, amazing, and incredibly interesting, the character dynamics were heartwarming, funny, and just adorable all together. I can't express how much I enjoyed this show, but it's honestly amazing imo, and you should give it a shot.

Overall: 10/10
