Review of Devilman: Crybaby

SPOILER-FREE REVIEW : - This show is only for a mature audience, and by mature I mean mature as an adult or an avid anime watcher(7000+ episodes at least). If you are both, an adult and an avid anime watcher with at least 7000+ episodes on your resume, you will love this shit so much or at least appreciate what Netflix has done with this series. NOTE:- Devilman crybaby is an actual remake of the original OVA series which aired back in 1987. Story:- The story is nothing to write home about. It's just there to support the overall anime and act as a base. Because obviously you needa reason to explain the things that take place in this show.

Art:-
If you have watched Ping the animation, this is the same studio and director. I would not call this animation style beautiful but somehow it works perfectly for this setting. Probably if the style was any different than what it is right now, I would not have liked this as much.

Sound:-
Nothing to say here. Got one of the best songs of the year and probably the decade.

Characters:-
Characters are all over the place in this one. Though it does good enough job to show us their story well enough for us to connect to them. Its gonna be like GOT so don't get attached to any character.

Enjoyment:-
I watch tons of anime and have been doing the same for a few years now. It had been a while since I enjoyed a show as much as I enjoyed this great one.

Overall:-
If you think you can take gore and sexual content, just go for it. Just don't go in expecting any usual Shounen cliches. This show is literally Devil for a shounen fan.
