Review of Horimiya
I honestly love watching school romance and teen relationship stories — and Horimiya was exactly what I was looking for. I watched it recently (between 22 to 29 June 2025), and I must say, I really enjoyed it. The anime blends romance with comedy in such a simple yet touching way. I wish something like this had happened to me during my school life... or at least someone brought cookies just for me 🙄. There are a lot of characters in the series, and almost everyone seems to have feelings for someone — if you’ve heard of love triangles, here it feels like there’s a whole “lovedecagon” going on. It’s messy, relatable, and at times very real. Personally, I liked Sakura’s character a lot — she left a lasting impression on me.
One thing I regret is watching this anime either while working or while traveling — and because of that, some of the emotional scenes didn’t hit me as hard as they should have. But I know — if you’re single, heartbroken, or ever waited after school for someone just to get a glimpse — then this anime will shake you up emotionally.
In the end, I’ll just say this — Horimiya is a beautiful anime. If you enjoy romance, this deserves a watch. Simple story, sweet moments, and emotional beats that stick with you.
