I heard about how anticipated Horimiya was from the manga, so I immediately checked out the first episode. It was the first romance anime after a long time, and it did not fail to impress me on how real it was. The relationship between the main guy and girl was very wholesome yet very realistic about how relationships are genuine. Even though the story between them was lessened, it still managed to do an excellent job on the relationships between the other characters and give them their time in the spotlight. The plot itself was a little rushed, but its pacing was tolerable, in my opinion. I saidabout the relationships above this statement: the entire story itself, which is character diversity.

The music itself felt very chill compared to the excitement levels of other anime, which felt very satisfying to listen to, so I give it extra points.

Finally, the character development was another theme of Horimiya, as it fleshed out most of the main guy's character arc, and was even able to complete it, which I found very sweet since I can relate to him in a few ways.

Horimiya, a nice rom-com, great characters, good story, and I like it a lot. Although they could've paced it a little bit better, Cloverworks could do a decent job at it, and I would recommend it for those who want to watch more romcoms.

Overall: 7/10
