Review of Sasaki and Miyano

just my personal feelings n reactions not a critical analysis!! it was cute! i didn’t feel SUPER attached to the main characters’ dynamic. they’re both verrrry normal high school students with no outstanding merits or abilities. no sad deep backstories either. and their dynamic wasn’t anything worth screaming over for me haha. but like, it was cute! it was nice, it was relaxing, it was something wholesome and low-key to sit back and watch. it is verrrry slowwww……………….and honestly sasaki could have been more aggressive in pursuing miyano LOL. but ye respecting boundaries is cool nd good!!! and in the end they get together woo! i’mlooking forward to s2 and seeing what it will be like now that they’re in a relationship. it’s a very wholesome relationship haha.

side charas were nice too! love that they had supportive friends, and their friends were all so sweet to their own girlfriends haha. would love to see more of the girl characters instead of just blank faces lol. i feel like they only wanted to focus on male characters and like…….why.

this anime was pretty cheesy/corny esp moments when the weird shapes would appear. but it’s ok, nothing offensive or wrong about some cheesiness.

I feel like they portrayed the feelings of first love pretty well!! The nervousness + excitement, butterflies, blushing, awkwardness, can't stop thinking about them. Albeit dramatized it is what it feels like to fall in love!

I’m not attached enough to this series to read the manga but I still want more content - so I’m really glad they’re making a second season! I’ll definitely watch it.
