Review of Gushing over Magical Girls

If you are in it for the comedy or character development, this show is for you. If you are in it to goon, this show is for you. If you are in it for the magical girls...who are you kidding, you aren't here for the magical girls. Gushing over magical girls is an Ecchi SM comedy over the world of magical girls. Our MC fights against the magical girl using the power of being the dominatrix. There is pretty well written comedic moments,and clear signs and stages of satisfactory character development. The world building is unique albeit somewhat hollow, as most of the screen time revolves around themain cast and of course...

The lewd! Each episode features a distinct play of an SM technique. Such as Tickling, Wooden horse, Spanking and much more. The level of detail is sufficiently satisfactory if this is what you are looking for, but remember this is still an anime and not straight up hentai, so it is still showing restraint especially in how long the play goes on for. The slight issue, of course, may arise if a part of the episode is focused on a play that you are not into. It makes the scene uncomfortable and doesn't offer much alternative focus as it devotes the entire attention to the detail of the play during its runtime.

Concluding, the show is an excellent showcase of the SM aspect of Ecchi anime, but it is also wrapped over a well thought out world and plotline, with characters that are unique, expressive, and constantly developing. Despite landing an idea that is sufficient for an "alright" and "unique" anime, the studio did not neglect the fundamental, and strived to craft and refine to produce a truly "excellent" anime.
