A classic entry in the fantasy genre "cool hero is OP and is amazing at everything". I don't like this subgenre, if you do. Solo-Levelling is probably the best in its niche. No fanservice BS to prop up a weak plot. That being said the plot isn't strong. It does have some genuine emotions in it and it tries to show the hero actually working to get stronger. A good set of different abilities. Nothing takes effort though and any hits the main character does take are for show only. It follows the same formula on repeat like any in this subgenre. Big cool hero/enemy, look how AMAZINGLY strong itis, say it is A/S class.
Show hero/enemy ragdolling a random target with A/S class. Hero shows up and easily dispatches the enemy/hero alone.
No teamwork needed. There's nothing the main character can't do alone, have onlookers cerclejerk how amazing the main character is.

It has good music and action scenes and it's much more watcheable than most entries in this subgenre. I never felt tension though.
Some characters with 1-5 mins screen time do die, giving some impact and gravity to the series.
The show could have the exact same formula but other S class heroes are actually useful to the main character.
If they were to slap on some real character depth, with real risks to established characters, this show would contend for best of all time.

Wish I could give it a 6,5. It has potential for greatness, yet is forgettably watchable for me.
