If you think you will enjoy "Daily Lives of High School Boys," "Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto," or even "Handa-kun," with the same touch of fun awkward social skills, mixed with a twist of psychic powers, and Captain Levi's indifferent yet sexy voice, this anime is for you! The Disastrous Life of Saiki K is definitely a great watch and is ready to surprise you again and again. Just when I finish an episode and think "they can't get any funnier than that," Saiki K exceeds expectations. The show presented a mixture of slapstick, farcical, hyperbolic, and even blue humor. Art that was used was nothingspecial, just pleasant to the eyes, I guess. The same can be said about the soundtrack/effects. Captain Levi (Hiroshi Kamiya)'s voice was definitely a plus to me, but that's just my personal opinion.

The trouble with slice-of-life series is that there is often no continuity and most characters seem one-dimensional. Especially with personas such as Saiki's, who are omnipotent and omniscient, it is difficult to get a plot that causes growth. But as the story progresses, we are able to see subtle changes in his interactions with his so-called friends and classmates. During those times, however, Saiki should not have to explain himself whenever he does any altruistic action (i.e. I will help this person because it will benefit me, not because I want to help). All these justifications make him seem so tsundere... perhaps I was just overthinking for an otherwise simple, comedic anime.
