Review of A Whisker Away

I made sure to watch this movie twice that way I could get a good feel of this movie! My boyfriend and I were pumped to watch this movie when we first saw the trailers come out at the beginning of 2020... and may I say it didn't disappoint us one bit! Let's get down to the anime basics; first is the Story! You start out with the girl whose lost, her emotions are all over the place and she can't seem to find a place to belong anymore; until she met a "man" who was selling cat masks. The idea of being able to turninto a cat just by putting a mask on gets me excited just thinking about it; although I don't want to run away from the human world I live in, I also want to experience the life of a cat leisurely. My only complaint is wanted the relationships around Muge to develop a little more before the ending. THE ART.... ohh how I loved the animation from this movie so very much <3 I love the cat island, flashbacks of the fireworks, the crystal waters and OF COURSE I loved the beautiful cats. Sound; The OST wasn't bad, but it didn't strike me as something I will remember (meaning if I hear a song playing that was from the movie I probably wouldn't realize it). Characters and how I wish there was MORE MORE MORE!!! I loved the back stories, the difficulties and the developments BUT MAN do I wish they added mooorrreee about the pasts of Muge and her current family situation. I understand she's had it difficult, but I want to feel it even more then just a few scenes of girls teasing her.

Overall I enjoyed this film; I'm hoping it'll stay on Netflix that way I can share it with my friends. I really hope to see some cute one-shots in the future of the developments between Muge and Hinode (aannndddd maybe their friends as well?!)!
