Review of The 8th Son? Are You Kidding Me?

There are several aspects of this anime that is cliched in an isekai (another world) anime. But the reason I managed to watch this until the end is because there is some plot that makes it somewhat different from other isekais. In many isekai anime where the mc is overpowered, we see that the mc goes here and there solving the peoples' issue without facing much of a problem, and this leads to a boring plot, because we already know that the mc will just solve the problem anyway. But this anime allows the mc to face mental struggles whilst helping people. And this iswhat makes this anime different from others.

However, the other parts of this anime are extremely cliched, so if you've already over-watched isekais then you might find this boring. So I suggest you watch this anime if you are an isekai anime fan who is looking for a slightly different isekai-plot with good art.

I watch iseakis just to pass time and not necessarily to watch a good anime so I handled this anime pretty well. If I was looking for a good anime, I wouldn't watch this.
