The story of Resident Evil Infinite Darkness is very good, but unfortunately it suffers from an extremely rushed and confusing final act. The script is decent and respects the personalities of the characters from the games, especially Claire and Leon. The motivations are well developed, but honestly they deserved a more satisfying conclusion. In my opinion, this story could easily have worked as a 12-episode series. Capcom’s animated productions, especially those related to Resident Evil, seem to have a bit of an obsession with turning the final villain into some kind of mutant monster in the style of a G-Virus infection. In this case, I didnot think it was necessary for the narrative.
If Jason had first taken on a villain role closer to someone like Krauser, I think it would have worked better. Even so, despite these issues, I still recommend the series.
