Reborn as a Vending Machine, Now I Wander the Dungeon · review
I bought this book because the premise sounded like it could be fun to read. The wacky adventures of a vending machine sounds interesting, but my god, it's written like garbage. First off, the writing is something I'd find on the shelf of a middle school library, not in the young adult section. Second, I know it's an Isekai story, but having your entire worldbuilding based off of video game mechanics is lazy and unimaginative. The main character literally pictures himself using a mouse to scroll through stat screens and choose options. That might have killed a brain cell all on its own. Lastly, this LightNovel opens with several pictures of cute girls in varying degrees of slutty clothing in full color before the story even begins. Once again, I understand that this is pretty common practice with certain novels, but it really doesn't make any of my feelings about the story any different. This is pure garbage, and not the fun kind. It's just bad.
