The art style is good, although I was often taken aback by how young they look (to the point of looking the same even if it's been years/looking too young for their age). But that issue gets resolved quite early on. (to the point I thought it was a timeskip) The story could've been even better, but it felt botched or weirdly paced in some moments. Some scenes and chapters felt pasted in rather than being able to read them smoothly. Often having to open the comments to see if it was only my problem or if it was an issue for everyone. Ending with seeinga lot of explanations of what's happening or what was told in the scene.
It's a good angst read. Although I feel both the FL and ML lose a bit of their original personality. Which you can say is character development, but it felt like they got put into the usual stereotype roles once it started getting into romance. I do give credit that the ML, does not follow the usual possessive, aka, he holds himself back.
While the FL starts off stupid in my opinion. Naive? But with her development, she does get more serious in a smart way. Making her lose the beginning spark that she had, feeling like a different character from the beginning. Character development is positive, but if you spend time pointing out how she isn't good at most things and is dense, and then suddenly turning it around for the sake of making sense and for the angst.
This case is even worse with the ML. Starting off quite aggressively and interestingly. Then, turning into your usual possessive ML with the romance. Which could've been fixed by simply extending the time of them getting together. The point between rejection angst and getting together feeling mushed together without a proper middle. Making the previous actions simply like they never happened.
It's a good read if you like surface Angst and an unforgiving FL in the beginning. I do warn that some plot points aren't explained further or just simply forgotten.
