Honestly, you go into it thinking that it was just going to be some op mc "i don't know I'm the most powerful in the world" bs, but then around chapter 15 or 20 the entire story flips on its head. Now I'm not saying this is a good thing for a coherent story by any means (since it all of the sudden takes a much more serious turn), but everything becomes much more satisfying to read, at least in my own opinion. The stakes are risen through the roof, and though I do agree that the power scaling is a little sloppy and themc definitely has some plot armor, the other characters are still helpful and very very strong compared to the rest of the world (as we know of so far), even if their power still pales in comparison to the mc.

Now, this is coming from someone who does enjoy reading power fantasy slop, because it is nice to be able to turn my brain off and just see some major magic being thrown around like its nothing. But still, even if you don't care for the plot, it is at least a fun read, so I don't see why not to try it.
