Beautiful, relaxing story about a Finnish girl growing up in the countryside and having dreams about her future. Katri is a very determined and independent girl who faces struggles but won't let them affect her much. I'm a Finn and I found this anime surprisingly accurate when it comes to Finland's history and politics. It's nice that the names are Finnish too, even though Aapeli became later in the series Abel. The show is divided in to two parts: Katri in the countryside and in the city. This show's moral lesson is that you are who you choose to be with your actions. I foundthat this show is very similar to Princess Sarah and Lady Georgie. Lastly if you decide to watch this, you'll not be spared from tears.
