Review of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End
Amazing story, good ost, ( So nice even that even though it's not my gengre, I do even like to listen to it on its own ) Animation isn't high quality, however it's good enough, especially keeping in mind that it's 28 episodes, not just the stereotypical 12, however, srr, but compared to the the rest of the anime, the names are kinda of putting. they kinda feel more like an afterthought, with them searching random related words in German on Google Translate, what makes it sound more like a children's series for 2 year olds and older. I have a feeling it would work better if you're from outside Dutch or German speakingnations
especially Japan,
with some names sounding more like Japanese,
like 4 example Denken sounding like Denka ( 殿下 )
However I'm srr, but based on the names, it sounds more like a series 4 little children.
I love the parts however,
where interior design, food and such can be dated irl.
So much so, that I think it's at least inspired by Europe around the 1760's.
I also live how the anime isn't just like boring at some parts,
doesn't heavily rely on placing a some sort of cliffhanger on the end of every episode,
to push people in watching the next episode.
It's calm, relaxing,
however, in the end, I'm srr.
It's mainly the names that are a really big issue.
If not 4 the names, I would definitely have given the series a 9,5 so in this case a 10,
bc 9,5 isn't possible.
