Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~ was truly a masterpiece in my eye. It was one of the few anime that I've seen, that I felt such emotion to a few characters, as well as felt moved. Violence, drama, romance, and even a few comical quirks were all wrapped into one large stage play. The story, was by far, the most interesting stories I have seen a long time. There's been a lot of assassin ideas thrown around, but more or less so, anytime you seen an assassin they seem to be invincible and heartless. Zwei, the main character of thestory, is far from invincible, and a very emotional character. His memory gets wiped while on a trip to the United States, and was soon captured after witnessing a crime by the infamous "Inferno" Phantom. The plot itself later reveals twists, turns, and at times, teeth clenching.

The art was very well done, sure it isn't perfect, but I liked the way that every gun shot didn't spread blood everywhere like most anime, and the characters themselves I felt were drawn well to the way their personality represented.

The voices were amazing, when in the heat of the moment, Zwei yells into the sky, and makes you truly feel how he feels. The gun sounds were a bit common, as well as the sounds of the cars. The music by far was one of my favorites, representing a bit of opera to the anime.

The characters were very well done. Zwei, living in bliss at first, and later realizes what is going on, truly gives him an edge on other assassins. He expresses emotion, something all the other's never had. Phantom, for instance, expresses zero emotion considering how she was raised. The "Inferno" also had a few interesting characters, and a few unsuspecting plot twists involved with them.

Overall, it was a great anime, from start to finish, without letting it down for a moment.
