WHAT. A. RIDE. I FINISHED THIS RECENTLY, AND WOW- I'M SPEECHLESS. First of all, the story is well thought out. They put great detail in everything needed to make this into a masterpiece, which they did. The story is unique and most important of all, it's MECHA. MECHA. who doesn't love mecha? Second of all, the characters. Most people hate characters for not being realistic, but this is not the case here. Sure, they don't seem real, or anyone that you can relate to, but they're so good. They're developed. I love how Lelouch can be evil and good, but still likable. I love how Suzakukeeps getting in the way with Lelouch's plans, but people still stan him. I love how Kallen is the typical tsundere, but people simp for her. I love how C.C. is so emotionless and edgy, but people think she's cute because of it. And lastly, I love how Nunnally is a sweet, kind, adorable cinnamon roll, no one can hate.

These character's personalities and uniqueness is what make Code Geass, Code Geass. Usually, if there's a protagonist, they either make him room eccentric and optimistic, or have no personality at all. But no. Lelouch is awesome.

However, even if this anime is great, I suggest you watch it when you don't have a deadline, or you're on at least a week-long break because it just makes you wanna come back for more.
