Review of Kokoro Connect

Definitely one of the more story heavy animes out there. For anyone who's wondering, this is more in the Drama section than comedy. I would almost say it has a similar atmosphere to Bokurano but its not very bleak or anything like that one is. Story 8/10 Great story, and great premise, and like I said earlier, the anime has a very thick atmosphere like Bokurano. I do feel that the story feels rather convenient at times though. Art 10/10 Hard to say how to judge this one. I say a 10 because they are doing a high quality job animating theseries, This is definitely one of the better animation jobs. The art is also very realistic. They try and make the characters look like real people. Everything else is personal preference.

Sound 9/10
Nothing really annoying about the sound. They aren't trying to excite anyone, but they aren't doing a bad job either. It's sound that conveys a realistic drama series. That said, I took a mark off because I didn't feel the opening/ending music was anything special.

Character 7/10
Heartseed is definitely the best character, and the girls come off as realistic, but I get the feeling that the boys are underused. That and Taichi kinda sucks, he's probably the biggest flaw in the series. A cliche "selfless guy" character who is overused and solves the other characters emotional problems way too easily.

Enjoyment 8/10
Definitely a drama held up my heartseed's cruel games and the character exploration that this unique show provides. That said, it felt like a bunch of really great ideas strung together without enough forethought. Most people will definitely enjoy it.
