Review of Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day
This is not a bad show, but it was disappointing how bad it was due to the high expectations I had for it, and all the hype it received. Again, it's not necessarily "bad", it's just that it was disappointing to say the least. It had an awesome soundtrack (especially that opening theme), great looking characters, animation, and the only likeable character I can think of off the top of my head would probably be Poppo. The show started off great, with a nice concept that grabbed my attention, and I basically really wanted to know what will happen. Sadly it was just straight up boringand uninteresting throughout most of the show, and the only 2 things that kept me going was the curiosity of how they were going to end this show, and that in the very end of each episode something interesting would happen, making me want to move on to the next episode to find out. Also, if it weren't for how people made it out to be, the you'll be depressed and all that for a week after you finish the show, and how everyone cries, etc. I wouldn't of have added this to my watchlist.
Even though I did manage to "cry" somewhere between episodes 7-10, and the final episode, I was basically just forcing myself to do so, just so that I can say this show made me cry. Also the long awaited ending, was just unsatisfying, cringe and a little funny tbh, so that's that. C'mon she died, just get over it, and stop crying. It's almost as if it's some kind of crying contest lol
In the end, it was fine, nothing amazing, nothing horrible, and just left me with a nice opening theme, how I view people who say they enjoyed this, and disappointment.
