Such a beautiful, heartfelt anime about fighting personal demons, rekindling torn friendships, and coming together to grant the wish of a long lost friend come back from death. You understand and feel the pain holding each grieving character hostage, almost as if this was happening to you...and the ending leaves you feeling relieved and broken free with tears of joy from the pain being lifted, and your loved one moving on. Although death is a natural part of life, many struggle with ways to deal with the passing of someone close. This anime presents that with every character, but also shows that by coming togetherwith friends and family - you are not alone.

I deeply enjoy and hold high any show that twists and turns my insides such as this. Not only because it has done what it should with regards to telling a good story without deviation, and making you invested in the characters wholeheartedly - but also because it truly grants the viewer an immersive escape from reality, instead of being "just another show to watch".

An emotional rollercoaster - any man or woman that doesn't shed tears to Anohana has no soul.

10/10 would cry again.
