Review of Durarara!!

Durarara!! is a anime that got known and nowadays has a nice rate among the viewers. In general this anime is good, although there are some points that i would like to talk about. Story: 9/10. If there is story more complex than this one? Well at least i did not saw one more complex than this one yet. This story is not a story but a lot of small stories together. If this anime is good, it's because of the plot twists. I would like to tell you the main theme here but honestly i can´t. There are just so many that you canchose by your self. If i had to choose, i would say that there are 2 main stories here on the first show, then there a lot of small ones, but they are all related! And this is why i loved this show. Usually we see a background story that is the same for everyone and then we have the development of it with the time. Here ? Well such things happens to although in a different way. The most interesting fact is that they can tell us 4 5 ou even more stories at once, everyone happens at the same time and everyone end up being conected somehow. So basically the way that the stories are developed is totally different. At least it was the first time that i saw such thing.

Above all this, the story is original, creative and we also get an idea of how is it like living in a city.
I did not found any plot holes, the all story fits together and there are no missing parts. Everything is properly explained, so if you see an episode and if you think you are lost, don´t worry it is normal on this show. They will tell you everything right in the next episode.

I don´t tell you one more thing that made this anime so interesting, otherwise i would be spoiling.. check that out for yourself. This anime is full of secrets and it is nice to figure them out as we go through the story.

Art: (8/10). In gerenal it is good. The background is OK. The character design is OK. There are no bad points here, just small good ones xD.

Sound: (8/10). I think that the first opening is brutal. Really nice to hear and fits well with the anime. The rest is cool for it's purpose but nothing else. While in some animes, some OST can be memorable and we will never forget them, here it doesn´t happen. Everything is relatively okay, no big deal but that doesn´t mean they are bad.

Character: (9/10). Individually they all look good characters but not good enough for a 9/10. All together? Well that is another thing. Like in the story, here we don´t see 1 2 3 or even 4 characters getting a decent development. Remember we have 24 episodes, although they explore pretty well more than 9 characters ! I do not remember them all, but i do know for sure 9 characters got a nice development plus all the others that i'm not remembering at the moment.

Now you ask? But having so many characters being developed at the same time doesn´t make the story confuse? NO. Yes you may get lost but don´t worry, as I said and I repeat, they all are connected. If one character gets development, it's because that character is important for the plot. Every character here has their own way to be and everyone has a pretty decent past. Plus with the twists that we see in some characters, just makes the story and the entire anime much more cool. I would say that this multiple development of plot and characters makes this anime a anime that everyone must see. In fact we don´t find such thing in other shows. At least i didn´t.

Enjoyment: (7/10). There is a bad point of having so many stories and characters being developed at once. The anime is boring for the first part, until the 10th episode it's hard to watch. After that it gets more interesting but still it is not enough to "pay" for the first part. But don´t let this turn you down. Now the second show is being released and it's just getting better and better. When we get used to the way that they develop things, we just realize how cool it is and how interesting it gets.

This anime i think it will be on my memory for a long time, the plot is crazy, the characters also are crazy and the twists .. oh my this anime has the best plot twist that i've ever saw ! And i'm not over reacting. Usually we see one or 2 big twists. Here, well i lost my count.

So if you are looking for something completely out of the boundaries, check this one. It is amazing how the plot and how the characters are developed and how everything ends up together.
