Review of Akira

Legit the only problem I had with this anime was that the ending was completely different from the manga. I usually really love this old style animation. But, like everyone says, it's hard to live up to the original (in this case, the manga). I read the manga first and loved it so much that I just HAD to watch the animation. Everything was great, and I totally understand that it's almost impossible to put THAT much content into one 2 hour movie. But the ending was completely different. Like INSANELY different. To put it more bluntly, they pretty much animated and stayed true to the original,and then during the last bit, just put something together so that they could make sure the movie wasn't 4 hours long.

If I didn't read the manga, I'm sure I would have liked it a lot more. It's like being cheated out of something that could've been legendary.
