Review of Black Rock Shooter
I found the concept of the story to be interesting, but in terms of execution, this anime failed miserably. I liked the character designs and their personalities for the most part. Soundtrack wasn't really memorable (it's been a while since I've watched). The art is beautiful to look at, and a lot of creativity was put into the dream world and the character designs. Take that away, however, and all you're left with is a plot that doesn't really go anywhere. It seems like they spent too much time world-building to do anything. I'm not against creative story-telling or going off on tangents, but any "unrelatedtangent" should ultimately be related to the story at some point. It's like sitting through fillers for the first half of the anime and then they decide that they're finally going to tell a story.
So yeah, if you like watching cool girls fight, there ya go. If the plot matters a lot to you, then you might want to skip this one.
