First off, I have heard some people praise this show for being an accurate and dark take on school life. I only half agree with that since some of the decisions in this show seem stupid or just plain ridiculous and most of the characters in this show are too one-dimensional or too unrealistic. Now onto the review. Ok first off, the Story (4): This story is your typical harem story but with many dark twists to it. It begins with your typical love triangle between the main character, Makoto (a HUGE douche) and two other girls, Kotonoha and Sekai. Sekai gets Makoto and Kotonoha together butquickly develops feelings for him. As the story progresses, it gets more unlikely or unrealistic since people are (as I have said before) making stupid or ridiculous decisions. When Sekai said "i'll give you practice." I was thinking '...wow...' First time I have ever heard of an offer like that. The story just keeps spiraling downwards and downwards. It was quite dull most of the time until one of those dodgy decisions pops up, then it returns to being dull again. I have to give it some points for SOME realism and its dark feeling but not much. So as I have said, I didn't particularly like the story which is one of the main reasons I came into this, other reason including the ending. I have to say, the ending was quite satisfying.

Art (5):
The art was pretty meh, nothing I haven't seen before. The animation didn't really have any parts to shine in. Not much else to say here.

Sound (5):
Most of the music including the opening and ending themes were quite forgettable. They did fit the anime well but they were nothing impressive. The only piece I quite liked was the dark, piano piece that played at the end of some of the episodes when something dark or bad was happening. This was one of the few things that compelled me to watch the next episode.

Character (2):
First of all, Makoto. One of the most universally hated characters in the history of anime simply because he is a huge douche to not only his girlfriend but many other girls as well. You have to give him credit though, I have no idea how he managed to get with so many different girls. I'm not sure what any of them found appealing in him but none the less, he is somehow appealing to them. I actually hated Kotonoha more than Makoto (only by a bit) because she did absolutely nothing after she found out certain bad things about Makoto. Other than that, she was quite meh until the ending. Sekai just annoyed me. Not entirely sure what parts of her character did. Any other characters that I thought had some decency just flushed that decency down the toilet. This is probably the weakest of the series.

Enjoyment (4):
There was some parts of the series that I did enjoy such as laughing at some of the situations some of the characters were in and the ending. But most of the time, this was overshadowed at my annoyance at how stupid some of the characters can be and (I cannot stress this enough) some of the decisions the characters made. There was a certain point where I just got sick of the repetitiveness of the decisions that the only reason I kept watching was for the ending. The only things I was remotely interested in was the initial love triangle and the ending (I have mentioned the ending a lot...). I eventually just cracked up out how insane and stupid some of the characters turned out to be. So it was relatively enjoyable at first but that died as the series progressed.

Overall (4):
In conclusion, the bad parts of the series outweigh many of the enjoyable/average parts that I found in this series. To sum it all up, I enjoyed the first part of the series because it was the most realistic and the ending because it was the most satisfying part of the anime. I didn't enjoy the repetitiveness of the stupid decisions and the unrealistic turn it had taken when it became a love square, pentagon or hexagon. None of this was helped by the mediocre sound and art. There is one thing I can take from this anime which is the most obvious point ever, don't cheat on your partner. Although, I highly doubt that if you do, it could lead to this. So yeah, I didn't really like School Days.
