This is very old, but probably the best romance anime of all time. I have watched it from start to finish about 5 times now over the last 15 years. And each Time I love it as the first. It takes its time to grow on you, initially I hated it, but when it does, you really root for Godai. 96 episodes is a great amount of time to develop some serious character development. There are some art changes that happen through the show that also help a lot. The design in later episodes is wonderful. Rumiko Takahashi's masterpiece, in my opinion.
