Review of Shakugan no Shana: Season I

I’m gonna be short. *REMEMBER THIS IS A SUBJECTIVE REVIEW WITH SOME OBJECTIVE POINTS* Story: 7/10 It’s not that original, and there are a lot,really, A LOT, of “objects” with specific names and sometimes you may not remember them all. However, some events have some sort of explanation. For example(WARNING SPOILER WARNING SPOILER), in the last chapter after destroying the Balle Masque(I think that was the name), Yuuji didn’t die because he was wearing the anti-flames ring. Art: 5/10 Pretty mediocre Sound: 9/10 SNS excels at this. The OPs and EDs were really good. Specially the first OP, it’s great. Character: 8/10 The only characters that needed a bit more development wereIke and Yoshida. It felt like they were just there to do nothing. Yoshida is pretty annoying not gonna lie. The worst character? Khamsin. He felt like and absolute Deus Ex Machina for the Zeppelin episode lol.
Enjoyment: 8/10
This is the second time I watch this season. The first time was like 3 years ago, but I just watched the first season and I didn’t remember anything. So I can’t call this a rewatch. If action/romance with hints of drama and comedy aren’t your thing, don’t waste your time. I would recommend watching until chapter 3 to make your own opinion and decide to continue watching it.
