Review of Fate/Zero

10/10, my second favorite anime... Fate/zero is the most adult anime I have ever seen, and it didn't do that through overusing gore like some shows do(aot, hellsing ulitmate, etc...) while it still did have gore, that wasn't the core reason it was able to get as dark as it did. First, I would like to get the criticisms out. The first three episodes(first one in particular) God were these episodes bad, the first one felt like it clawed open my brain and dumped all the information it needed to get out there with no entertainment value. The second and third were also not too good, while not tothe extent of the first. They were slow and—to be completely honest—so boring.

That's a heavy drill, and that may turn some people away from the show, but by god does it make up for it with more, a lot more. This show nigh perfect, the characters are amazing, the philosophy of each servant and master is so beautifully written any fan of fiction will love it. The fights are wayyy out of their time, ufotable's animation is incredibly good and it looks as if it was made on a film budget. The music was also extremely powerful and cool, elevating every fight to a masterful level.

If the first three episodes were better, this would hands down be the best anime ever made.
