Not a bad anime. It just doesn't have a standarized storytelling that you can easily deglute. It's a bit more out there. You'd have to pause at some moments and maybe replay if you are not familiar with the religion backdrop. If you like things like that, you'd enjoy the production. The design of characters is vintage and resembles those of classic masters of Japanese horror. The characters eyes are quite expressive and seems to be designed to display emotional angst and exhaustion. This is an ambitious production as far as screenwriting. There's an extensive information about hindi and Buddhism religion that is a central partof the plot and that makes it move forward so you'd get lost if you are watching multiple screens at the time and your attention is scattered.

I am taking my time to write this review because it's getting very old to see the majority of viewers on MAL being so bias favoring brainrotted plots from 2010s onwards with 8 or 9 points. Animes with simplistic messages with nonexistent sign of authorship whatsoever and that are only made for mass consumption and matters to the fans solely because of the use of skimpy outfits and outbeat music. Meanwhile older animes like this one with a different proposal on storytelling and visuals have the lowest rates.

There's plenty of room for other forms of expressing in anime and this is a good example of it. Some of them with different semantics that the ones some fo you are used to. This is a classical horror OAV with informative mythology. I actually quite enjoy it, but, yeah, it would ask some brain effort from your side 👌
