**This review includes "Kokoro Connect: Michi Random" (last four episodes)** Kokoro connect is a very refreshing take on your typical RomCom story that is very unique to itself. I consider myself pretty well versed when it comes to the romance genre, so when I say this is one of my favorites I want to stress how significant that is. I wouldn't consider this to be a "cutesy" series, that gives you a warm fuzzy feeling of budding love and anticipation of the coming confession. Minus the supernatural aspect, the interpersonal realtionships are very realistic, which I love. Story 9/10 - I know a perfect score for thestory seems a bit over-kill and you probably thing I'm being biased because I like this series so much. However, Kokoro Connect is able to tie in so many thought provoking concepts and ideas while still keeping the audiences attention. One of the best aspects of this story is how funny it is, I loved how one minute you feel like you could cry and the next you were laughing your head off. The only real issue I have with the story is the last arc, and not because I don't think it is good, but I feel that it should have been earlier in the story.

Art 7/10 - Nothing special here, very traditionally animated (which I enjoy since I'm "old school"). Colors were good, don't remember any eye-popping computer generated animation off the top of my head. I don't think this will by any means impress anyone from an art persective, but it fulfills its purpose by having good color and distiguishable lines.

Sound 7/10 - Just like the art, no notable OST music or score. Voice acting was very good, characters were engaging and not monotone. I watched the subbed version obviously, but I saw that the dub will be released soon so I would love to hear the dubbed acting. Overall the sound didn't distract from the story, so I give it a "good" 7/10.

Character 9/10 - I was very tempted to put 10/10 on the characters, because they are what makes this series. I liked how the male characters were very realistic, and not the typical oblivious and unrealisticly nice guys. Taichi in particular, because he is the quote "good guy" in the series but his personal faults and short comings make him a relatable character. The girls are also very well developed characters. Iori is probably my least favorite character, not because of her contribution to the story, but because I don't feel she developed much for how much time was spent on her. Like most fan boys, Inaba is one of my favorite female characters of all time. He balance of intellect/tsundere mixed with flirty/funny is very rare and works well for her role in the story.

Enjoyment 10/10 - Like I said earlier, this is one of my favorite series. I laughed, I (almost) cried, and felt like I was there with the characters as they developed and progressed through the story. I know that Kokoro Connect is such a diverse series, incorportating romance/drama/humor/science fiction(?) all in one, and this might turn people away. But, if I had to keep only five animes and never watch any others again, this would easily be one of those five.

Overall 9/10 - Anyone who likes RomComs or enjoys a good laugh, would be the first people I would suggest this to. But honestly I wish that everyone would at least give it a chance, and who knows? You may fall in love with it too.
