Review of Durarara!!

tl;dr review on the very bottom. I started reading the manga the day I found out the first episode of the anime had been released. I hurried over and watched the first episode and found out that the story was a little different from the manga. Story: The story is done extremely well. It's complex, driven by characters, and there were many elements that could have horribly misdone if not handled carefully. Some supernatural elements were mixed in but it felt all the more realistic with it. Give it a: 9, really nice to find out how all the characters were related to each other. I was interestedin learning about their background stories.

Art: The art was simple and very much enjoyable. The style was great as well. Though it didn't have much of fan service, it was still awesome. That's what I call style.

I give it a: 7 a sight for sore eyes.

Sound: Being an anime where the title is based off the sounds of a motorcycle you expect the sounds to be outstanding. which they were. Some were present where you don't expect them to be and they were nicely weaved into the anime.

(ETC SOUND) VOICES/MUSIC: The voices were epic. Jun, Daisuke, Hiroshi and more. All high caliber voice actors and i enjoyed comparing their work to their respective other animes. Special Credit goes to Ono's voice for Shizuo giving me the best 'wtf' I've had in years.

The OP and EDs were loveable as well. If you're a fan of anime music, then these should be on your play list.

Give it an: 8 DURARARARA!!!

Characters: Best cast of characters for spring 2010. You really form a bond with each one. There are moments where you really care for them when they're in danger and all the more feels like you've actually met them before.

Give it a: 9 for excellent development.

Enjoyment: I was looking forward to each episode every week, and I even went back to rewatch some of them. I wanted new episodes more and more as I got closer to the end.

Give it an: 8 for pulling me back a number of times. I'd like to have a marathon with some friends when i get the urge to watch it again.

Overall: Man was this a ride. Good beginning, interesting middle, and an ending that plays just right. I wanted some more romance between the mains, but i forgive them.
