Review of School Days

I'll make one thing clear this series is not enjoyable. Its gross not man eating man gross but psychological, friends betraying each with having no restraint and thinking nothing much of it than that it is just too problematic to deal with. You might have seen stereotype bad guys in an anime who exist to make the good guys look better. They usually end up getting beaten or booed off and exist for the sole reason above mentioned. But here that bad guy is the main freaking character. Nobody wants to take a peek at that, everyone is just fine with being justice done. Butthese kind of things do happen in real.

This series packs a whole lot of ugliness and its bare to see. There is not much moral to take except for the one you make of it. The series bring out the shallowness and frailties of human nature. But I dont believe that its a proper commentary on humans itself. I dont believe that even the author should believe that. This just a concentrated concoction of such ugliness, if the author's sole aim was to bring out such frailness and concentrate it just for experiment, I would say It has done its job well but if he claims that that's how humans are then I would be inclined to give it a score of 3/10. It doesn't really do anything magnificently or does it really bad its just that one wonders whats the point bringing such obvious and obviously revolting topic to light.

I wouldn't call this a work of art even if it were just an experiment, its like source code of a program or an uncut diamond, unpolished and dirty looking. So if you want are looking an anime which is just a worst possibility case of human society then this is the one if not then this is the worst possible anime you'd want to see, it doesn't drive home any moral. And the most important thing, ending is the story, its the conclusion and is most important part of the story other than the beginning..
